Q: History of Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club
A: The present house was built in the 1720's, to the design of William Adam, for George Dalrymple, youngest son of the Earl of Stair. It was then acquired by the Douglas family in 1760 and the Estate on which the house stands is still owned today by a direct descendant of the family, the 22nd Earl of Morton. Driving Directions from Edinburgh Airport
Once you leave the airport, join A8 heading East towards Edinburgh. At roundabout, take exit for City Bypass and exit at first junction keeping in left hand lane. Follow directions for A71 to Kilmarnock. The hotel is 2 miles along on the left-hand side.
Driving Directions from Glasgow & the West
Take the M8 for Edinburgh and stay on all the way to the roundabout at the end, taking exit for City Bypass. Keep in the left-hand lane and follow directions for A71 Kilmarnock. At the top of the hill, take the 3rd exit signposted A71 and the Hotel is 2 miles along the A71 on the left-hand side.
Driving Directions from the North
Coming over the Forth Bridge on the M90 or from Stirling on the M9, join the M8 for Edinburgh and follow the directions above.
Getting Here By Bus: to and from Edinburgh
The nearest bus station is in St Andrews Square, Edinburgh (8.8 miles) From there, walk to Princes Street, and take the First Bus (service 23) or Lothian Country (service X27 or X28) which stop outside the hotel entrance. Walk up the driveway and follow the road signs to hotel reception. To head back to the city centre, take the same bus line.

A: The leisure club is open 7 days between the hours of 6am and 10pm to members and hotel guests. You are entitled to use the facilities of the club available under your relevant category of membership.

Q: Am I tied to any long-term contract when I join Dalmahoy as a leisure member?
A: No, you are not tied into any contract here at Dalmahoy. You are a member for as long as you wish, and should you wish to end your membership with us; you can do this by giving us 30 days’ notice. All notices must be given in writing and addressed to the Director of Golf & Leisure.
Q: Can I suspend my Dalmahoy leisure membership if I do not wish to cancel?
A: Yes, if for medial reasons you can suspend your leisure membership for a period of between 3 and 12 months by giving us 30 days written notice and notification of the date you expect to return. Please contact our membership team for more information; 0131 333 1845.
Q: Will the subscriptions/fees increase during my membership with Dalmahoy leisure club?
A: We may vary the subscription rate with the effect from 1st March in each year and we will notify you of such change not less than 30 days prior to any variation. Please note that any re-joiners who have previously left in the same calendar year will not be eligible for any special new joiner offer.
Q: How much would it cost me to introduce a guest into the Dalmahoy leisure club?
A: An adult day pass to the leisure club costs £26 and a junior day pass (5-15 years old) costs £5.

A: The membership team will book you in for your gym induction at a time that suits you and introduce you to the fitness team.
